Attention Number Six Fans! ITV1 is remaking the Prisoner!
Looks like it'll star Ian McKellan (yes, it's Gandalf, but seriously folks, watch Richard the Third), I'm assuming as Number 1, and Jim Caviezel as Number Six.
I'm having trouble finding air dates, but it's supposedly to air this year.
If you haven't seen the Prisoner, it's basically an old 60's show about the mindgames some shadowy organization plays against Patrick Doohan as the unnamed agent reffered to as Number Six.
The show was weird, and tended toward the psychadelic (you know, tie dye lighting being zoomed in and out) a bit much. It was still great.
I'm hoping that the reincarnation will be just a touch darker, yet still hold on to those surreal qualities I loved about the original.
