Obama's "Blueprint for Change". If you read my previous post, you'll know I mentioned something about keeping campaign promises, and you can't get a better list than from the One's web site. I just thought I'd post it here as well, since things sometimes get misplaced.. or altered...

Hmm
You seem to be saying that you don't feel you should hold the man accountable for his campaign promises.
How else, then, do you judge the results of a man's work? Your statement, when reduced, sounds to be saying "As long as we feel nice about what his intentions are, it doesn't really matter how he performs."
No one who gives his own money to another man for services rendered feels that way. Would you pay a contractor who built you a house that didn't meet specifications just because he painted it a color that makes you happy?

I'm sure there are some who
I'm sure there are some who believe one hundred per cent in Obama's blueprint, and believe that he will revolutionize the status of our nation. You should remember, though, that many of us voted for Obama because we believe that he believes in his changes, not because we think that he will be able to accomplish them all in his four or eight years in office. Our government is not designed so that one man's blueprint can be implemented upon inauguration. The ideals that Obama expressed through his campaign platform, tempered with a healthy dose of the reality that we are faced with in our current economic and international scenes, will be the end result of Obama's time in office. I, for one, do not place hope in the man Obama or in his "promises", but in the spirit of democracy and progress that he has instilled in so many.
